Nueva Italia, Mich., a 19 de enero del 2019.-En sesión extraordinaria de cabildo y con fundamento en el artículo 26, 27, 28 y 29 de la Ley Orgánica Municipal del Estado de Michoacán de Ocampo, se instaló el Sistema Municipal de Protección Integral de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes en Múgica.
En el marco de los mandatos internacionales y de la Convención de los Derechos del Niño, el 4 de diciembre del 2014 se publicó en el Diario Oficial de la Federación la Ley General de los Derechos de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes, que obliga a la creación de un Sistema Nacional de Protección Integral en cada una de la entidades federativas y uno en cada municipio del país.
El 2 de junio de 2015 Michoacán publicó la Ley de los Derechos de las Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes del Estado y su respectivo reglamento. En base a esto, el 26 de abril del 2015 en atención a este apartado normativo, todos los municipios del estado, con fundamento en los artículos 138 de la Ley General de las Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes y 33 y 39 de la Ley de los Derechos de las Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes del Estado de Michoacán, se determina la instalación del Sistema Integral Municipal de Protección Integral de las Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes, por lo que en este municipio quedó integrado el 24 de diciembre del 2018.
Ante ello, el presidente municipal, Raymundo Arreola Ortega, celebró la creación de este organismo local que dará certeza a los habitantes de Múgica
