Apatzingán, Michoacán, a 21 de febrero de 2019.- La Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE), inició Carpeta de Investigación con relación a hechos ocurridos este día en el municipio de Buenavista, al registrarse un enfrentamiento entre elementos de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA) y Policía Michoacán, con un grupo de civiles que portaban armas de fuego.
El personal militar y policíaco se encontraba realizando labores de combate a la delincuencia, como parte de las acciones coordinadas de los tres órdenes de gobierno para velar por la tranquilidad de las y los michoacanos en esta región.
En estos hechos, registrados en la localidad de Zimanca, resultaron lesionados dos elementos de la Sedena y uno de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública, mientras que por parte de los civiles murieron ocho personas del sexo masculino, hasta el momento no identificados.
En el sitio fueron aseguradas diversas armas de fuego y cartuchos, los cuales han sido embalados para su posterior análisis.
Los lesionados fueron auxiliados y canalizados a diferentes hospitales para recibir atención especializada.
Personal de la Unidad Especializada en la Escena del Crimen se encuentra esta tarde realizando diligencias en el lugar, a efecto de continuar con las investigaciones correspondientes.
