APATZINGAN, MICH., 26 DE JULIO DE 2019.- La víspera de la celebración de la semana mundial de la lactancia materna que se desarrollara del 1 al 7 de agosto, el Séptimo Distrito Sanitario que dirige el doctor Noé Jaimes Plascencia a través de la Coordinación de Promoción de la Salud, intensifican la promoción de la lactancia materna y sus beneficios que son extraordinarios.
Al respecto el doctor Miguel Ángel Argueta Ávila coordinador de Promoción dijo, que en la actualidad, se ha reducido de manera considerable el número de mujeres que lactan a sus hijos recién nacidos, lo que atribuyo a que ellas se han incorporado a la vida laboral principalmente y que ello reduce el tiempo que pueden estar con sus bebes.
Pero no hay pretexto para no alimentar a los pequeños al seno materno pues ahora existen una amplia gama de artículos para extraer la leche y de este modo se pueda alimentar al recién nacido mientras ellas se encuentran laborando, lo que dijo debe ser una prioridad toda vez que la leche humana es la mejor vacuna para los niños a la vez que los protege de enfermedades diarreicas y respiratorias, de ahí la importancia de que este debe ser un alimento exclusivo durante los primeros 6 meses de vida.
Por su parte el Nutriólogo Juan Luis Espinoza Peñaloza dijo, que la lactancia materna durante 6 meses como alimento exclusivo del recién nacido, cubre las necesidades nutrimentales como son vitaminas, proteínas y grasas, disminuye el riesgo de obesidad pues aporta la energía exacta que él bebe necesita para su desarrollo, además de que fortalece el vínculo entre madre e hijo y es muy saludable para la madre que tiene menor riesgo de padecer depresión pos parto.
Asimismo añadió recupera su peso más rápidamente, es un método anticonceptivo natural y un dato importante es que reduce los riesgos de padecer enfermedades como cáncer de mama y de ovario, por ello afirmo lo mejor tanto para el niño como para la madre es la lactancia materna, mínimo medio año aunque se puede extender hasta los dos años.
