• La CONANP, el gobierno de Michoacán y los gobiernos municipales de Tancítaro, Peribán, Uruapan y Nuevo , trabajan para la integración del Consejo Asesor en el ANP del Área de Protección de Flora y Fauna, Pico de Tancítaro
Tancítaro, Michoacán, a 10 de diciembre de 2019.- Con la finalidad de mejorar los procesos de conservación en las Áreas Naturales Protegidas que se ubican en la región de Uruapan, la Dirección Regional Occidente y Pacífico Centro de la Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP), presentó los Criterios para la Constitución de Consejos Asesores en las Áreas Naturales Protegidas (ANP).
Lo anterior, toda vez que dicho Consejo, es considerado como uno de los órganos de participación que existen en la sociedad y que juegan un papel imprescindible en la conservación de las ANP; además de ser el principal medio para que la sociedad local que habita, trabaja y hace uso de los ecosistemas bajo protección, conozca y fortalezca el trabajo de las direcciones.
A esta reunión, en representación del gobierno de Michoacán asistió el Procurador de Protección al Ambiente, Juan Carlos Vega Solórzano, quien destacó la riqueza natural de esta zona, que ha sido afectada por el delito del cambio ilegal del uso de suelo y la tala ilegal; por lo que conminó a los presentes a participar mediante la denuncia ciudadana, ya que dijo, es una herramienta necesaria para conocer el dónde y cuándo de estos delitos.
Señaló que a través de esta y otros instrumentos como la Mesa de Seguridad Ambiental, el Fondo Ambiental y la Policía Ambiental, el gobierno estatal escucha y atiende las necesidades de las y los michoacanos, sin embargo, la creación de los Consejos Asesores, resulta necesaria para dar seguimiento y atención de las ANP, ya que el estatus de cada una es muy particular.
Es por ello que dar a conocer los criterios para su instalación es fundamental para impulsar un proceso de construcción de acuerdos para el establecimiento de compromisos y corresponsabilidades entre las y los diferentes actores que convergen en un ANP, ya que éstas son consideradas zonas de vital importancia para el desarrollo de una comunidad.
