• Acuerdan junto a otros senadores trabajar en un paquete de reformas para facilitar la entrada en vigor del T-MEC.
Morelia, Michoacán a 28 de abril de 2020.- Ante las condiciones que atraviesa la sociedad mexicana, Toño García, Senador de la República, sostuvo una reunión de trabajo con Graciela Márquez Colín, titular de la Secretaría de Economía, con la finalidad de impulsar un paquete de reformas para facilitar la entrada en vigor del Tratado México Estados Unidos y Canadá (T-MEC).
Junto a otras y otros senadores analizaron un escenario de crisis sin precedentes, lo cual podría presionar algunas condiciones del acuerdo.
Toño García expresó preocupación sobre la crisis en las cadenas productivas especialmente en turismo y agricultura.
“Veo con gran preocupación que sólo en los meses de marzo, abril y mayo; el cálculo de pérdidas económicas en el turismo será de más de 500 mil millones de pesos, lo que significará el despido de 1.5 millones de trabajadoras y trabajadores formales en este sector, y en caso de alargarse la contingencia el daño será mayor”.
También respecto a la agricultura, el Senador de la República, se pronunció en sustento a la industria de la floricultura, solicitándole se puedan generar programas de apoyo.
“Una gran parte de los productores se encuentran preocupados, por lo que requieren de todo el respaldo para que puedan ser competitivos en el ámbito internacional”.
Toño García ha estado presentando diversas propuestas para que se apoye principalmente a las micro y pequeñas empresas, que sostienen a la cadena productiva y comercial de este país.
