Apatzingán, Mich., 12 de junio de 2020.- La sociedad michoacana está todavía a tiempo de contener la cadena de contagios por Coronavirus con sólo atender las recomendaciones de las autoridades de salud para protección propia, de sus familiares y de las personas con la que a diario se alterna, destacó en entrevista el diputado local Custodio Virrueta García.

«La extensión de plazos para el levantamiento de las medidas extremas se debe a qué un importante sector de población desestimó las recomendaciones de las autoridades y contribuyó al crecimiento de la cifra de contagios por COVID-19, sin embargo cada día son más las personas que se convencen de la presencia de la enfermedad y asumen responsablemente la parte que le corresponde, que no es otra que usar cubre-bocas, lavarse las manos, guardar distancia y salir de casa sólo lo necesario», abundó el legislador.

Asimismo, dijo que «cada vez son menos las personas que niegan la existencia de la enfermedad y eso se debe a que todos tenemos a por lo menos un conocido o a un familiar que la contrajo, por tanto contamos con una experiencia sobre los riesgos que entraña soslayar el virus origen de la pandemia que se vive a nivel mundial».

Virrueta García lamentó la saturación de hospitales con enfermemos por Coronavirus, ya que prácticamente no hay lugares para la atención de personas en estado de gravedad y ahora se tiene que esperar a que uno sane o, en el peor de los casos, a que muera, para poder internar a otro con opciones de usar respirador artificial y tener atención especializada».

Al momento de la entrevista, el diputado Virrueta García había recibido información de que el hospital regional «Bicentenario», de Apatzingán, atendía a 14 personas afectadas por el Covid-19 en el pabellón exprofeso, y que una conocida habitante de la ciudad había fallecido al llegar a la ciudad de Morelia ya que su traslado no fue oportuno por la falta de espacios en aquella ciudad.

«Esta es la situación que tanto temieron las autoridades de salud, ya que el Covid-19 sólo es grave para el 3 al 6 por ciento de la población que lo contrae, el problema es que enfermen al mismo tiempo cientos de personas y el número de aquello que llegan al estado de gravedad extrema haga insuficientes los espacios de atención en los nosocomios», reiteró el representante popular en el Congreso del Estado.
