Registra Michoacán primer deceso por COVID-19

· El paciente fue detectado en Lázaro Cárdenas, mediante búsqueda intencionada de hospitalizados con neumonía

· Se llevaron a cabo los protocolos establecidos para la ubicación y atención a su red de contactos

Morelia, Michoacán, 26 marzo 2020.- El Comité Estatal de Seguridad en Salud (CESS), informa que se mantiene la vigilancia epidemiológica activa, que incluye la búsqueda intencionada en pacientes hospitalizados con neumonía, a fin de descartarlos como casos sospechosos de COVID-19.

En este ejercicio que desarrolla el personal epidemiológico, se detectó un paciente en el municipio de Lázaro Cárdenas, quien dio positivo a este virus y que falleció este jueves.

Se trata de un ciudadano mexicano, de 71 años de edad, quien registró problemas de salud el pasado 17 de marzo, consistentes en fiebre, tos, dificultad para respirar, calosfríos, dolor abdominal y mialgias.

Sin embargo, fue hasta el día de ayer 25 de marzo en que fue canalizado por sus familiares al Hospital General de Lázaro Cárdenas y falleció a las 3:30 horas de este jueves 26.

Conforme a los protocolos establecidos durante esta contingencia del COVID-19, se inició la búsqueda y atención de su red de contactos directos para implementar las acciones correspondientes a fin de reducir los riesgos de contagio de más personas.

De forma acumulada, se han registrado 105 casos sospechosos, 74 de los cuales resultaron negativos y 17 positivos en Michoacán. De los casos positivos, uno está recuperado.

El CESS reitera el exhorto a la población para mantener medidas preventivas y ponderar el reducir el riesgo de contagio a adultos mayores, pacientes con enfermedades crónico degenerativas o antecedentes oncológicos.
