Toño García promueve Gastronomía Michoacana en el Senado de la República

  • Anuncian el Festival de la Gastronomía Michoacana conjunta del 13 al 15 de marzo.

Ciudad de México, a 5 de marzo de 2020.- Al cumplirse 10 años del nombramiento de la Gastronomía Mexicana como Patrimonio de la Humanidad, el Senador de la República, Toño García, puso en alto lo mejor de la Gastronomía Michoacana en la Cámara Alta.

Invitó a nombre de la Comisión de Turismo, al Festival de la Gastronomía Michoacana, que se realizará del del 13 al 15 de marzo en el recinto Ferial de Morelia.

“Michoacán es una de las entidades que ocupa uno de los primeros lugares en variedad y riqueza gastronómica”, manifestó acompañado de Ilse Soto, subsecretaria de Desarrollo Turístico del Gobierno del Estado de Michoacán.
Agregó que además de los platillos preparados por los y las cocineras tradicionales, habrá venta de artesanías y productos de varios municipios michoacanos.

Toño García resaltó la importancia de este tipo de actividades, ya que preservan la cultura gastronómica del estado.

“Ustedes saben que la industria turística representa la tercera fuente de economía del país y es la que genera cerca de 10 millones de empleos directos e indirectos, que son ocupados principalmente por mujeres y por jóvenes”.

Agregó que por lo anterior la necesidad de hacer promoción de manera permanente, ya que esperan convertir a Michoacán en el destino gastronómico de México.

Cabe resaltar que la inauguración del Festival de la Gastronomía Michoacana se realizará el 13 de marzo a las 10:00 horas, en el Recinto Ferial y ofrecerá platillos como churipo, atoles, mole, charales, pescados, quelites, barbacoa de res, empanadas, atapakua de cerdo entre otros.
